Donations As A Gift

HOW TO MAKE A CHARITABLE DONATION AS A HOLIDAY GIFT FOR A LOVED ONE

Your charitable donation on behalf of a loved one will support Indigenous families in the Waterloo region by enabling AO to purchase books, toys, formula, and diapers. You will receive two cards in the mail or through email: a thank you card for your generosity and a donation card as well as a charitable receipt to be presented at Christmas.

Charitable donations can be made through the link below, or by cheque mailed to 236 Woodhaven Rd, Kitchener, Ontario N2C 1V5. Along with your donation, please send the name and address of the person receiving the present (for creating the charitable receipt in the person’s name) as well as your address (for mailing the cards).

Make a donation to our gift programs

AO has a series of gift programs over the year for families including

  • Christmas Bundles
  • Halloween Costume Bundles
  • Back-to-School Supply Bundles
  • Winter Season Bundles

Families in our programs sign up to receive a gift from one of these bundles when the time of year arrives for them to receive it. Children can receive school supplies in time for school to start, families are able to get gifts in time for Christmas, specific meals in times for the holidays, jackets in time for winter and costumes in time for Halloween!

If you would like to support these gift programs, then consider donating any of the items below

  • Halloween costumes.
  • Jackets, scarves, boots, pants, gloves, hats.
  • Pencil cases, lunch boxes, water bottles, notebooks, calculators, coloring pencils, backpacks.
  • Toys for children who are babies, to teens in their adolescence.

Please note that these programs are seasonal, and calling beforehand to see if we have space to store these items is important. Please give us a call in advance prior to dropping of the item at 519-208-5333, or email us at info@aocan.org.

Once your donation is confirmed, Items can be dropped off at our location at 236 Woodhaven, Kitchener, for a contactless drop-off we have bins available in our front vestibule.
