Programs

Spirit Bundle Program

Our Spirit Bundle Program is a bi-weekly pick-up or delivery service of food and other essential items for self-identifying First Nations, Inuit, and Métis individuals.

Orange Shirt Pin Sponsorship Program

Our orange shirt pin sponsorship program provides First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people the opportunity to learn how to produce beadwork and jumpstart their own business.

A beaded pin can be worn at any time to symbolize your awarenessunderstanding, and solidarity with First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. They are conversation starters to learn more about the Residential School history and Reconciliation.

Indigenous-Led Paint Nights

Our Indigenous-led paint nights take place virtually multiple times a month, and are currently led by Pamela. These are a great opportunity for spirit-building, connecting with community members, and learning a new skill. Classes are open to all levels of skill, as step-by-step directions are provided to participants to explore their creativity and create something beautiful.

Virtual Beading Classes

AO’s Cultural Support and Indigenous Wellness & Healing team are excited to provide virtual beading classes to all self-identifying First Nations, Inuit and Métis community members. These classes will be offered via Zoom at no cost, with material kits provided to those within the delivery or pick-up distance to our Guelph and Kitchener Centre of Healing locations.

Ribbon Skirt & Shirt Workshops

AO hosts a series of Ribbon Skirt & Shirt Workshops throughout the year. In these workshops, members of the Indigenous community can participate to sew Ribbon Skirts or Shirts, creating an environment in which they can connect with their culture and reclaim their identity.

Tutoring Program

AO’s tutoring program is designed to support self-identifying Indigenous youth from grade 6 to grade 12 who are seeking additional academic support in Math and English.

Multi Sports Program

Anishnabeg Outreach is offering a youth-based multi-sports program for Indigenous youth in the area. This program is targeted for ages 6-16 and will offer a wide variety of sports options. Follow our social media to stay up to date.
